GUEST PRESENTER WORKSHOPS
Aromatics / Essential Oils
Herbal remedies of the digestible variety can be found in your horses field or bought over the counter but did you know that they can also be found in the form of highly concentrated essences and oils? A horse’s sense of smell is extremely powerful and is one of their most used senses; it’s no wonder, then, that Aromatics have such an impact. Aromatics, offer your Horse the opportunity to ‘self-select’ or ‘choose’ the oil, essence or natural substance that he prefers as a means of kick-stating his body’s own healing process as well as promoting general health, well being and relaxation.
Our Expert… Caroline Ingraham
Caroline initially qualified in aromatherapy for people with one of the leaders in the field, Robert Tisserand, over 20 years ago and is responsible for training the founders of schools and guilds and in addition founded the first school of animal aromatherapy in 1995. Caroline is in demand as a speaker for professional bodies such as the British Holistic Veterinary Medicine Association and the International Federation of Professional Aromatherapists. She has also made guest appearances on television including a documentary with David Bellamy, on ITV in "Talking to Animals" and on Radio 4 talking on Animal Self Selection. Her books, 'Aromatherapy for Horses', and the 'Animal Aromatic Workbook' have become a must for all aromatics users.

Equine Iridology and Herbs for Health
Herbs: Horses know what will help them stay healthy, you might have seen them picking out plants that they find valuable but that we call weeds, such as dandelion or broken, dried nettles and thistles in the hedgerow. Many herbs not available to most horses, when correctly mixed together, are extremely successful in helping such things as laminitis, sweet itch, general digestive, breathing, circulation and lameness issues, wound repair and infection recovery, the list is endless and the results are amazing!
Iridology: It’s an accepted fact that a bright, shining eye indicates good health and a dull listless eye indicates ill health; Iridology takes this concept to a whole new level and opens the door on an amazing science that is widely practised with a great deal of success across Europe. Many of us are aware of Reflexology and how the feet can tell us a great deal about our physical, emotional and mental health. Iridology works in a similar way but through the study of the eyes, in particular, the Iris and the markings upon it. As well as providing information on current well being, Iridology also offers insight on many areas including genetic disorders that affect the body or that negatively impact temperament and behaviour.
Our Expert… Ellen Collinson
Ellen is a qualified herbalist and Iridologist whose passion led to the creation of her own highly successful product range. After qualifying in human iridology, Ellen went on to explore its potential use with horses. Ellen’s combining of Iridology, herbs and traditional experience has brought her a great deal of success with top competition and training yards across the country including Olympic dressage rider Kirsty Mepham (Dikkiloo) and Des O’Neil who’s race-horse (Lights and Music) enjoyed wins at the Punchestown and Fairy-house festivals following work with Ellen.
